Dana V. Wallace, M.D., is an associate clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla., and is a private practitioner in allergy, asthma and clinical immunology in Fort Lauderdale, FL and is associated with the Florida Center for Allergy and Asthma Care.
She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine and completed a residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Roosevelt Hospital. She is board certified in pediatrics and allergy/immunology.
Dr. Wallace is past president of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), World Allergy Organization Board of Directors (2012-2016), chairs the Emerging Societies Program, and has received the ACAAI Distinguished Service Award (2009) and the ACAAI Woman in Allergy Award (2008). She is serving her second term on its Board of Regents and on its Executive Committee. She is the ACAAI Website Associate Editor, ACAAI representative to the CDC Food Allergy/Anaphylaxis in School Task Force, Anaphylaxis Community Education Volunteer, and a member of the Finance, Budget, Nomination Committees and ACAAI Foundation Board of Directors. Having chaired the Drugs and Anaphylaxis Committee for many years, she remains an active member. She is ACAAI’s representative on the Health Level 7 (HL7) Clinical Interoperability Council; has served on the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Manuscript Review Committee since 2005; has been a Nationwide Asthma Screening Program coordinator since 2000; and has been on the Joint Task Force on Practice Parameters since 2005 and was chief editor of the 2008 “The Diagnosis and Management of Rhinitis: An Updated Practice Parameter.
