Dana Baron Shahaf MD, PhD

Dr. Dana Bar-On is an Attending Physician and anesthesiologist in the Department of Anesthesia at Rambam Health Care Campus.Dr. Bar-On received her MD with honors from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. She also earned a Ph.D. in human genetics and molecular biology from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. She completed her residency in anesthesia at Rambam in 2013 and since then has served as a staff anesthesiologist and Director of the Resident’s Program in the Department of Anesthesia.

In 2015 Dr. Bar-On completed a one-year fellowship in neuro-anesthesia at the Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada. Additionally, Dr. Bar-On is currently conducting clinical and basic research in brain electrical activity as a predicting marker for the development of ischemic injury under anesthesia, for which she was awarded an international grant.
