Dan Lavallee BS, MS

Dan is the Director of Government and Business Relations, Government Programs, at UPMC Health Plan. He is responsible for developing and communicating Health Plan positions regarding state and federal regulatory activity for programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, as well as leveraging relationships with trade associations and industry stakeholders to identify and pursue collaborative opportunities surrounding operational and strategic issues affecting Government Programs.

Prior to joining UPMC Health Plan, Dan was one of the youngest nominees to run for Congress in the United States in 2014. Dan has extensive experience in public policy, communication, public speaking, fundraising, issue advocacy, and media relations. Dan also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Butler County in Pennsylvania. He earned a Masters of Science in Health Care Policy and Management from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science in Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2009.
