Damon Smith PhD

Damon is CEO of the drug development company Altus Formulation which he founded in 2012 to commercialize the range of clinically and commercially validated drug delivery technologies he and his team have invented. With a number of Altus’ co-development and licensing agreements coming to fruition, Damon has now turned his attention to TALLC Inc. TALLC Inc. is a new joint venture synergizing Altus’ SmartCelle technology, and its ability to promote pan-ocular delivery, with the profound anti-inflammatory effects of proprietary TA-A001.

Prior to founding Altus, Damon was SVP R&D at Labopharm, a Canadian drug delivery company, where he oversaw the development and commercialization of a number of 505(b)(2)/10(3) hybrid products. Before joining Labopharm, preceded by a short stint at Conjuchem Inc. during which time the company went public, Damon was Executive Director of Development at Therapeutic Antibodies (London) where he managed the R&D teams responsible for the company’s DigiFab®, CroFab, and CytoFab programs.
