D. N. Lanjewar MD

D. N Lanjewar is the Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology at Adani Medical College, Bhuj, Gujarat. D. N. Lanjewar is a recognized leader in the field of autopsy pathology and pathology of HIV/AIDS. His spectacular carrier started in Aurangabad (Maharashtra State) where he obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate medical degrees in pathology at the Government Medical College, Aurangabad. After serving in academia up to the level of Associate Professor and Professor at the Grant Medical College Mumbai, he joined as Professor of Pathology at the Sir J. J. Groups of Hospitals Mumbai. His areas of interest and expertise include autopsy pathology, AIDS pathology, and infectious diseases pathology. He conducted one of the first large autopsy studies to define the causes of HIV and AIDS-associated mortality in Mumbai. He has served as Secretary of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists and Indian College of Pathologists. He has published extensively on AIDS pathology and has given more than 75 lectures and poster presentations throughout India as well as in The Netherlands, USA, Australia, Greece, Canada, and Argentina and directed more than 15 courses in autopsy pathology and various aspects of AIDS pathology.
