D.m De Bruin BSc, MSc, PhD

Daniel Martijn de Bruin is a staff member, performing translational research at both the department of Urology and the photonics group of the department of Biomedical Engineering & Physics of the AMC. His task is to initiate new research that will ultimately result in minimal invasive optical diagnostic device that allows diagnosis of disease.

Martijn studied photonics and laser-optics at Technical College Ede. After graduation, he studied molecular biology (BSC) at Hogeschool Utrecht which was finished with a full year research internship at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School. Subsequently, he received his Master degree (MSc) in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Amsterdam. While obtaining his Masters, Martijn finished his doctorate (PhD) at the department of biomedical engineering & physics (BMEP) at the Academic Medical Center (AMC).
