Cynthia L. Deyling, MD, MHCM, FACP, is Chairman of Regional Operations, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors, and Executive Director, Cleveland Clinic Allied Health Education. Dr. Deyling is Medical Director of Cleveland Clinic's Independence Family Health Center and is on the Cleveland Clinic Medical Executive Committee. She is also a member of the Marymount Hospital Board of Trustees; vice chair, Cleveland Clinic Health System Eastern and Western Board of Trustees. She is an assistant clinical professor, Ohio State University College of Medicine and is a preceptor for the Learner College of Medicine for first and second year students. She is board-certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Deyling, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, received her medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed her internal medicine residency training at Cleveland Clinic and earned a master's of healthcare management from Harvard University, School of Public Health.

Named one of Cleveland's best physicians since 1997 by Cleveland Magazine and honored as one of America's Best Doctors since 2002, Dr. Deyling has been honored on numerous occasions for her work with patients, fellow physicians and in the community. She was vice chair of the United Way Physician Campaign in 2007, and is the chair of the Cleveland Clinic Health System United Way Physicians Campaign in 2008.

As chair of Regional Operations Dr. Deyling's key responsibilities include but not limited to the position are: Acquisition of clinical practice to expand in new markets. Strategize and integrate CCHS services throughout the system with institute chairs and hospital presidents. Develop and oversee construction of all new Family Health Centers, (i.e. Avon and Twinsburg). Strategize and implement new or expansion of clinical services in the Family Health Centers. Integrate community physicians into the Cleveland Clinic Model (Open Practice Model). Fund development in the Family Health Centers. Provide community benefit into the communities served. Oversee accreditation and regulatory agency compliance in Family Health Centers. Ensure financial stability of all locations and perform Annual Performance Reviews.

Dr. Deyling is also responsible for the recruitment of physicians to the Family Health Centers. She is a member on all of the CCHS Hospital Boards and a member and participates on executive committees at the Cleveland Clinic, (i.e.: MEC; CCHS Leadership Meeting; Regional Medical Council and the Institute Chair Meeting).
