Cynthia Cantril RN, OCN, CBCN, MPH

Cynthia Cantril is the director of cancer support services and patient navigation at Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation in Santa Rosa, California. A founding member of the Oncology Nursing Society, Cantril believes that the role of the nurse navigator involves asking, “How we can emotionally help our patients, and how we can follow them from the moment of suspicious finding all the way through the entire cancer journey.” She has received numerous awards for her work, including CURE Magazine’s Extraordinary Healer Award and the Oncology Nursing Society’s Lifetime Achievement award.
