Cynthia Ann Moylan, MD, MHS, MS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine and Chief of Hepatology at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She serves as the Co-Director of the Duke GI-HEP Clinical Research Unit. As a physician scientist, Dr. Moylan collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to perform clinical and translational research, understanding the factors associated with the development and progression of chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma, primarily from metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

Dr. Moylan is committed to furthering AASLD’s mission through fundraising initiatives and continues to advocate for equity in early education through her involvement in several non-profit organizations, including the Durham Nativity School and StrongHER TogetHER.
