Cristina Carrera MD, PhD

Cristina Carrera (Vigo, Spain 1975), MD, Ph.D., joined the Dermatology Department in the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in 2000. She works as a Consultant Dermatologist in charge of clinical and research tasks in the specific fields of Melanoma and Skin Cancer. She has developed an interest in imaging diagnostic techniques (dermoscopy, confocal microscopy, OCT) and immuno-oncology, and cutaneous adverse events of cancer drugs. Author of more than 150 publications and co-investigator in more than 20 competitive research projects and clinical trials, also holds the post of Full Professor at the University of Barcelona. Currently, she leads as PI an official competitive project in the field of Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevi and Melanoma.
