Craig S. Conoscenti MD, FCCP

Craig S. Conoscenti, MD, FCCP, completed his undergraduate education at Fordham University and obtained his MD at St George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he additionally served one year as Chief Medical Resident. Following this, he completed his Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship in the Norwalk Hospital/Yale University Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship where he was awarded the Brady International Fellowship Award at the Royal Brompton Chest Hospital in London.

For the following 17 years, Dr Conoscenti remained on staff at Norwalk Hospital as a clinician, research team member and faculty. In addition to his clinical roles, he served as the Chief of Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. Following this, Dr Conoscenti joined the Clinical Development and Medical Affairs department at Boehringer Ingelheim within the respiratory therapeutic area. He is the Director and US program area leader for the Boehringer Ingelheim Pulmonary Fibrosis Program. Dr Conoscenti has been a frequent speaker and has published numerous articles in the field of pulmonary medicine. He is an active member of the European Respiratory Society,American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society, where he has been actively involved in several committees.
