Covadonga Paneda

Covadonga Paneda has a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Universidad Autónoma, Madrid. She has spent most of her scientific career in academic research in Spain and the US were her interests were focused on animal models of human disease and how gene modulation can alter the disease state. After 10 years of academic career she decided to shift her interests towards industry and she joined a preclinical CRO as head of efficacy and multidisciplinary development. Currently she is R and D manager at Sylentis and she will be talking today about the progress of the Company’s ophthalmology program.
