Cosimo Bruni MD

Cosimo Bruni, MD, completed his medical school studies at the University of Siena in October 2010, graduating with a thesis on “Effects of the therapy with Bosentan on Raynaud’s phenomenon and cutaneous fibrosis in patients affected by systemic sclerosis and pulmonary arterial hypertension: clinical and nailfold videocapillaroscopic evaluation”, a performer at the local Immunology Department. Since his degree, he attended the Rheumatology Department of the University Hospital of Firenze, held by Professor Matucci Ceramic. During his specialty training in Rheumatology, he developed a particular interest in connective tissue diseases, especially systemic sclerosis. His main interests and research focuses are the identification of new biomarkers predictive disease-related complication and the creation of outcome measures assessing the clinical status and therapeutic efficacy. To enrich his knowledge and perform research studies, he also experienced a 6 months attachment at the Rheumatology department of University College of London – Royal Free hospital campus,
