Dr. Cord Sturgeon is a Professor of Surgery and the Director of Endocrine Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Sturgeon completed the Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco with Dr. Orlo Clark in 2004. Dr. Sturgeon conducts outcomes research primarily through decision analysis, economic analysis, and quality of life measurement.
Dr. Sturgeon is an expert in cervical ultrasound, fine needle aspiration biopsy, minimally invasive parathyroid surgery, thyroid cancer, and adrenal tumors. He is on the editorial board of 3 journals. He has published numerous articles and book chapters spanning the topics of endocrine surgery and edited the textbook Endocrine Neoplasia.
