Connie Steed MSN, RN, CIC, FAPIC

Connie Steed, RN, MSN CIC is currently the Corporate Director of Infection Prevention for the Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina. She has contributed to clinical practice, education, and research in the field of infection prevention for more than 35 years. Connie’s recent focus and passion have been hand hygiene compliance and monitoring alternatives. This work led to improved hand hygiene compliance within her organization and multiple journal publications. Nationally, she has served on APIC’s Membership and Governmental Affairs Committee(s) and on the APIC Board as a Director and Secretary. Connie received her Bachelors and Masters Degree(s) in Nursing from Clemson University. She has been certified in infection control since 1985.
