Dr. Colm Hanratty graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1992. He was awarded his MRCP from Edinburgh University in 1995 and his MD from Queen’s University Belfast in 2000. He completed his general medical and cardiology training at Belfast City Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast. His fellowship in interventional cardiology was in Sydney, followed by further specialist cardiology training in Belfast City. In 2003, Dr. Hanratty was appointed as an interventional cardiologist in Belfast Trust. He was the clinical lead within the Belfast Trust for 8 years and was instrumental in developing the complex cardiac program within the hospital. In April 2020 he joined the Mater Private Hospital Dublin, where he took up the role of Director of the Cath Lab.
