Colin Minchom PhD, FRPharmS

Colin Minchom leads the CMC programs for two small molecule phase IIIs and is the head of CMC Due Diligence for synthetic molecules at Shire Pharmaceuticals. Trained as a pharmacist in the UK, he received his PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Wales. Prior to Shire, Dr Minchom worked contract services for fourteen years including senior leadership positions at Patheon. He has worked in other multinational pharmas including Eli Lilly and also a UK startup. Dr Minchom is active in the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) having previously chaired Annual Meeting Programming Committee and also the Formulation Design and Development Section. Dr Minchom sits on the General Chapters Expert Committee for the USP focused on Dosage Forms.
