Dr. Clifford Goldsmith is a national director for the U.S. provider industry with Microsoft’s health and life sciences practice, a role in which he leads Microsoft’s strategy for the US healthcare provider industry. Goldsmith has been with Microsoft for 18 years and has more than 33 years’ experience envisioning, designing, developing, and selling high-performance solutions for the healthcare industry, having focused on numerous areas of healthcare information technology, including accountable care organizations, patient-centered medical homes, AI, genomics, pharmaceutical clinical trials, and medical devices and embedded systems. Prior to Microsoft, he served as chief medical officer for Aptima Corporation, worked for Harvard University’s department of medicine and the Center for Clinical Computing, and founded and managed LINK Medical. Goldsmith received both his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.
