Dr. Brinster specializes in all areas of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy. He obtained his medical degree and completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Prior to joining the Vascular Surgery Section at Ochsner, Dr. Brinster gained specialized training in Europe treating complex aortic disease with cutting-edge, minimally invasive endovascular techniques and devices now undergoing clinical trials in the United States.
His clinical interests include all aspects of peripheral vascular surgery including aortic and iliac aneurysms, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease cutting-edge and limb salvage, venous insufficiency and thrombosis, and dialysis access creation and maintenance.
