Dr. Miller has been with Sports Medicine North since 2004. He is originally from Newville, Pennsylvania, and is a former professional ballet dancer. He received his bachelor of arts and master of fine arts degrees at The University of Utah and then went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine. After finishing medical school, Dr. Miller underwent an internal medicine internship at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He then travelled to Rochester, Minnesota, to undergo a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program at the renowned Mayo Clinic; then he completed a clinical fellowship at the Boston Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine Division in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Miller was a former president of the Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA) and one of the founders of Athletes and the Arts with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), see www.athletesandthearts.com and www.artsmed.org for more information. He helped produce accreditation standards for hearing, vocal, psychological, and neuromusculoskeletal conditions in musicians for NASM National Association of Schools of Music.
