Claus Garbe MD, PhD

Claus Garbe is a University Professor of Dermatology at Eberhard Karls University, Germany, where he is also Head of the Division of Dermato-oncology, Head of the Interdisciplinary Skin Tumour Centre and Head of the German Central Malignant Melanoma Registry. Professor Garbe began his medical career at the Free University of Berlin. After obtaining his MD in 1983, Professor Garbe was board-certified in Dermatology and Venerology in 1987 and was awarded his Ph.D. in 1990, specializing in the biology of melanoma cells. Professor Garbe remained at the Free University until 1995 when he was appointed University Professor of Dermatology and Head of the Division of Dermato-oncology at Eberhard Karls University, Tuebingen.
