Claudio is Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Genoa in 1990 with honors, he specialized in Neurosurgery in 1995. From 1992 to 1992 he spent a period of training at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Slotervaart Hospital in Amsterdam. In 2003 and 2004 he was Visiting Scientist in the Department of Neurosurgery and in the Goodyear Microsurgery Laboratory, University of Cincinnati, OHIO. In 1998 he was an observer at the Department of Neurosurgery, Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, Arizona. In 1996 he underwent a period of training in the Department of Surgery of the Rachis directed by Dr. Lemaire in Dijon.
Since November 2014 he has been Director of the Neurosurgery Unit of the Pope John XXIII Hospital. From February 2007 to October 2014 he was Director of the complex structure of Neurosurgery Hospital of the Holy Cross and Carle of Cuneo. From 1995 to 2007 he served as Senior Medical Director in the Neurosurgical Clinic of the Life and Health University of IRCCS San Raffaele in Milan. From 1992 to 1995 he worked as a medical director at the Neurosurgical Clinic of the San Martino Hospital Hospital of Genoa.
