Claudia Hoyen, MD, is a pediatric infectious disease specialist in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology, and Medical Director, Infection Control at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious disease. Special interests include antimicrobial resistance, colonization with antibiotic-resistant pathogens and molecular epidemiology.
Dr. Hoyen’s research interests include pediatric infectious diseases and their molecular epidemiology. She has authored or co-authored more than two dozen papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at more than a dozen medical and scientific meetings. She is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, Infectious Disease Society of America and Pediatric Infectious Disease Society.
