Claudia Catarina Ferreira Chaves Loureiro Barbosa e Silva has a degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra where she completed a Master's degree on the topic of Bronchomotricity in the Elderly and a Ph.D. in Pulmonology with the Dissertation "Asthma phenotypes and new biomarkers of the disease in a Portuguese population". She acquired 2 years of training in Translational Research, in the Portugal Program in Translational Research and Information I and II, certified by Harvard Medical School. She is a specialist in Pulmonology by the Portuguese Medical Association and the European Respiratory Society. Her professional activities include Guest Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra and a Hospital Assistant for Pulmonology at the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra. His scientific production includes several publications as 1st author in specialized journals (two of them with an impact factor of 12.05). She supervised more than 20 master's theses in the area of ​​Clinical Medicine and participated in more than 30 Master's Juries.

She works in the area of ​​Medical Sciences with an emphasis on Clinical Medicine.
