Claude Virot MD

Claude Virot is medical psychiatrist and trainer as well as director at the Emergences Institute. Since the beginning of his career he was interested in hypnosis and short-term therapies. In 1994 he founded the Milton H. Erickson Institute Rennes-Bretagne. Resolute to advance the international development of hypnosis, with the years he becomes president and international relations director of the French-Speaking Confederation of Hypnosis and Short-Term Therapies, member of the office team of the European Society of Hypnosis and of the International Society for Hypnosis (ISH) of which he became president in 2015. In 2009, Claude Virot receives the Jay Haley Early Career prize from ISH for having dedicated his career to the development of hypnosis. In the same year, he receives the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement award from the Milton H. Erickson Institute California.
