Clare Mclaren

Dr McLaren is a consultant radiographer working in the paediatric interventional radiology team at Great Ormond Street Hospital.Dr McLaren’s introduction to interventional radiology (IR) was gained as a junior radiographer, working in the busy IR department at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Since then she has continued to work in this field, and has gained more than 20 years of IR experience.

Dr McLaren became a consultant radiographer in June 2015 after working for many years as a clinical specialist radiographer and now works alongside her interventional radiology colleagues performing a range of interventional radiology procedures, specialising in airway and oesophageal intervention. My consultant radiographer role has allowed me to maintain a clinical career pathway.
