Clare M. Mchugh PhD

Clare McHugh is a junior at Penn State in the College of Engineering pursing a dual major in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering. Clare joined State of State last year as a member of the special events committee and will be serving as the Special Events Director of State of State 2018. Inspired by the mission and goals of State of State, she is eager to become more involved in the organization through this position. In addition to State of State, Clare is also serving as Tour Director for Penn State's Lion Ambassadors and is involved as a College of Engineering Career Envoy and a Women in Engineering Program Facilitated Study Group Facilitator. She spent her summer interning at NSF International in their medical device division in Washington, D.C. Clare loves Penn State, and is excited for the opportunity to positively influence all Penn Staters through her work this year. By holding engaging and exciting events, she hopes to create meaningful dialogue and ideas that can benefit the whole Penn State community.
