Dr Clare Appleby, MBChB (Hons), MA (Hons), FRCP, PhD. Consultant Cardiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, specializing in coronary intervention and valve disease. After my undergraduate at Cambridge and Manchester, She trained mainly in the North West and was awarded a BCIS Interventional Fellowship in Toronto, Canada. Her PhD was focused on gene therapy for atherosclerosis, though now as an NHS consultant, She is more interested in PCI and TAVI outcomes she is PI for a number of multicentre PCI and TAVI trials, with an Honorary post at the University of Liverpool. She is the Clinical Lead for Intervention and director of the Cardiac Catheter Lab. Nationally she has roles with the British Cardiovascular Interventional Society, BCS, and Valve for Life.
