Clara Lobo MD

Clara Lobo, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Lobo was a Staff Physician of Anesthesiology at Hospital das Forças Armadas, Polo Porto, Portugal. Dr. Lobo received his medical degree from Porto University, Portugal, and completed her residency at Hospital Senhora da Oliveira, Guimaraes, Portugal.

She is the past President of CAR/ESRA Portugal, the Portuguese Anesthesiology Society dedicated to Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine with over 1300 associates. From September 2016 to 2019 was part of the ESRA Board (European Society of Regional Anesthesia) and EDRA Board (European Diploma of Regional Anesthesia). Member of the organizing committee of several workshops and courses from national and international societies. Since 2019 elected ESRA Secretary General, with over 6000 members. Author and co-author of several national and internationally published papers and book chapters, on regional anesthesia and pain medicine.
