Clara Belzer MSc, PhD

Clara Belzer is an assistant professor at the Laboratory of Microbiology at Wageningen University. Belzer's areas of expertise include microbial diversity, molecular genetics, and the digestive tract microbiome. Her research focuses on the influence of nutrition on the infant microbiome and the influence of the microbiome on disease development.

She previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School and at ErasmusMC Rotterdam, where she conducted research into intestinal health.
