Dr Wright completed all of her undergraduate and graduate training in the UK and holds degrees in physiology, neuroscience and neuropathology. Her Ph.D. work was completed in collaboration with GalxoSmithKline, where she worked in a team to characterize potential new models for Alzhimer’s Disease. Since her move to Hawai`i she has focused her research interests in the field of parturition and has held several university and local foundation grants. Her research program at Chaminade is centered on understanding the mechanisms of the integrity of the tissues of pregnancy, as she is committed to improving women’s healthcare and neonatal outcomes here in Hawai`i. Dr Wright has taught at Chaminade since 2012.
