Claire Diffey is the Manager of the Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED), the state-wide program within the Victorian health department with the role and commitment to the provision of quality services to those with eating disorders and their families. CEED provides leadership and support to a range of services and clinicians through clinical case consultation services, professional development & training, service development and resource development.
Claire is a credentialed Mental Health Nurse, member of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN), a trained family and couples therapist with Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT), and executive member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) 2012-2016. Claire also operates a private practice as an individual, couples, and family therapist and has over 35 years’ experience in the mental health sector. She has extensive experience and skills in consultation, education, training and service development in a broad range of service and educational systems. Family empowerment and recovery focused approaches are a central aspect of her and CEED's work in supporting and collaborating with and welfare and health services across Victoria in their delivery of eating disorders treatments.
