Ciara Metcalfe MSc, PhD

Ciara Metcalfe, MSc, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist of Discovery Oncology at the Genentech. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and Master of Science at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is deeply interested in the biology of tumors at the molecular, cellular, and tissue level. More specifically, She is fascinated by how the deregulation of certain signaling pathways enables communities of cells to escape from normal homeostatic control.
