ChunFu Dai is a full member of the Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University and the director of neurotologic skull base surgery. He specializes in middle ear microsurgery, stapes surgery, neurotologic skull base surgery as well as cochlear implantation, etc.

Professor Dai is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of common and rare ear conditions, including hearing loss for various causes (otitis media, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, sensorineural hearing loss), facial paralysis, vertigo (Meniere's disease, BPPV, Migraine, and other vestibular diseases) as well as tumors of the lateral skull base.

Professor Dai primitively conducted the diagnosis and surgical treatment for semicircular canal bony dehiscence in China. Professor Dai took the lead in the small dose of intratympanic gentamicin injection on intractable Meniere's disease, as well as lateral temporal bone resection to treat external auditory canal carcinoma in its early stage. His unique technology, including the en bloc resection of the external auditory canal, tunnel packing of inferior petrous sinus, and total tension-free anterior FN transposition, simplified the most challenging lateral skull base surgery.

Professor Dai has hosted 11 projects, including the national key technology research and development program of China during the10th five-year plan period, the national Health commission’s public welfare industry research project, and the national natural science foundation of China (general program), etc. He has published publish more than 100 papers in domestic and foreign journals, containing more than 70 SCI papers.

Professor Dai received 1 national award and 1 provincial-level science and technology award for science and technology progress.
