Christopher Tipper MS, PhD

Christopher Tipper received his Masters from the University of Washington on Agrobacteria, and his interest in the inter-kingdom transfer of genetic material lead him to get his Ph.D. in retrovirology with John Coffin at Tufts University. He did his postdoc on early events in the lentiviral life cycle with Joseph Sodroski at Harvard University and translated this work into his first industry job at Bluebird Bio. After Bluebird Chris worked ultimately as the Head of AAV Vector Engineering at Dimension Therapeutics before deciding to take a step back into academic science.
