Christopher R. Honey MD, DPhil, FRCSC

Dr. Honey completed medical school at the University of Toronto. He then went up to Oxford University as a Canadian Rhodes Scholar to pursue a doctoral degree in neurophysiology. He returned to Canada and studied neurosurgery at the University of British Columbia. He received his neurosurgical qualifications in 1995 and was invited to join the Faculty of Medicine at UBC. He received tenure in 2003 and is a Professor of Surgery (Neurosurgery) at UBC and VGH.

Dr Honey’s area of specialization is stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. Dr. Honey was the President of the Canadian Section of Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery for its first seven years. He is on the Board of the World Society of Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery and was on the Board of the American Society of Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery.
