Dr Chris Macdonald works across the Research directorate at Arthritis Research UK to co-ordinate and integrate public and patient involvement at various stages of the research cycle. This includes the prioritising of the charity’s research strategy and the review and evaluation of research proposal that the charity receive through funding calls. He also collaborates extensively with other UK and international funding organisations and industrial partners as well as the research community itself
