Christopher M. Wittich MD, PharmD

Dr. Wittich’s research interests focus on improving methods to effectively deliver continuing medical education content. Since 2015, Christopher M. Wittich, MD, has been on the Editorial Board of Mayo Clinic Proceedings. His areas of responsibility include research related to medical education and the Resident’s Clinic section. A native of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Dr. Wittich graduated from the University of Iowa with a PharmD (Honors in Pharmacy and with Highest Distinction).

He received his MD from Mayo Medical School, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. From 2004-2007, he was a resident in internal medicine with an additional year as Chief Medical Resident at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education (MSGME). He was appointed to the Mayo Clinic faculty in 2007. In 2013, he became an associate program director for the MSGME Internal Medicine Residency Program. In 2014, he became a practice chair for the Division of General Internal Medicine; and also became an Associate Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
