Christopher J. Laney JD, CHCQM

Christopher J. Laney, JD, CHCQM is Assistant General Counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and a member of the Government Programs practice group where he primarily supports BCBSM’s Medicare Advantage and Part D drug plan lines of business. Previously, he was Corporate Counsel for Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky, a full-spectrum health system where he advised the Population Health Department on the development of an ACO and participation in the Medicare Shared Savings Program, the development and implementation of a statewide clinical integration program, and other value based purchasing initiatives.

Mr. Laney earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, is a cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School in Detroit where he served on the Law Review, and holds a Graduate Certificate in the Foundations of Public Health from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. Mr. Laney serves on the ABQAURP board of directors as well as the CME and Exam Committees.
