Christopher J. Coyne MD, MPH

Dr. Christopher Coyne is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UCSD. He serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Research in the UCSD Emergency Department, as well the Associate Fellowship Director for the Clinical Research Scholars Fellowship. He has published research on a variety of Emergency Medicine topics including quality improvement and ED administration, public health, digital health, and infectious diseases as they pertain to the emergency department.

Dr. Coyne primary research at this time focuses on oncologic emergencies and he serves on the steering committee for the NIH/NCI Comprehensive Oncologic Emergencies Research Network (CONCERN). He also serves as one of the five National Research Foundation Emergency Medicine Scholars, which provides training and guidance to junior faculty in an effort to improve collaborative efforts between emergency medicine researchers and private industry.
