Christopher G. Mazoue, M.D., attended Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and played football. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans with election to the AOA honors medical society. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, under the guidance of renowned orthopedic surgeons James Andrews, MD, and William Clancy, MD.

Dr. Mazoue is currently an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery with a subspecialty in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. His clinical expertise includes complex shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder reconstruction, shoulder replacement, and complex knee injuries.
