Dr. Okunseri is an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Services and Director of the Predoctoral Program in Dental Public Health at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Wisconsin. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health, and the president of the Faculty Council of the School of Dentistry.
Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Okunseri studied dentistry at the University of Benin in Edo State. After graduating from Benin, he practiced general dentistry in Benin City and Port Harcourt for several years before leaving Nigeria for the UK. He then gained his MSc in dental public health at the Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Health Care Sciences, University College, London. He received a diploma in dental public health from the Royal College of Surgeons in England, became a fellow of the Faculty of Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and subsequently moved to New York. There, he completed a residency program in dental public health at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University.
