Dr. Christopher Trigger is a board certified emergency medicine physician with five years of experience working in an evolving emergency department setting. He has been additionally board certified in sports medicine using his skills as a team physician, medical director of multiple sporting and other events and running a concussion clinic.

He received a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University. He went on to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine for his Medical Doctorate degree. Dr. Trigger completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois Hospital and was the Education Chief Resident at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Trigger also completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and was the team physician for Robert Morris University, LaRoche College, and Mt. Lebanon High School.

Dr. Trigger is employed by the Emergency Physician Medical Group, PC where he is an attending physician at Lakeland Health Care in three Emergency Departments; Saint Joseph, Niles and Watervliet. He is a core faculty member for the osteopathic Emergency Medicine residency at Lakeland and is a Clinical Assistant Professor with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM).
