Christopher Blundell BMedCsi, MB, ChB, MD, FRCS

Christopher Blundell is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in adult foot and ankle conditions. Mr Blundell runs Sheffield Foot & Ankle Centre for any type of foot or ankle problem with Mr Mark Davies at Claremont.He carried out 2 fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in Melbourne, Australia in 2001/2 and was awarded an MD for research into foot pressures. He is a Sheffield graduate and completed his higher surgical training in Cambridge and Norwich. He did a BMedSci degree in Orthopaedic Bioengineering. It was on receiving a First Class Honours Award 1 year later that he decided Orthopaedics was for him.

He spent a year in Melbourne completing 2 6-month foot and ankle fellowships; one in sports/general foot and ankle and one foot and ankle as part of Melbourne Orthopaedic Group. He was appointed consultant at the Northern General Hospital in 2002 and is Clinical Lead for the Sheffield Foot & Ankle Unit at the hospital
