Christopher A. Haines MD, MA

Christopher Haines, MD, MA, is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Physiology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is board-certified in family medicine and has a certificate of added qualifications in geriatric medicine.

Dr. Haines directs the inpatient hospital service for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and led the department's inpatient response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He is also involved in teaching at Jefferson Medical College, his alma mater, from which he graduated in 1999. He completed his residency and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2002 and 2003, respectively.

Dr. Haines is a member of the Clinical Performance Improvement Committee and the Hospital Medicine Council at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He teaches various physiology topics in Jefferson's Physician's Assistant program.
