Christoph Baerwald

Prof. Dr. Christoph Baerwald received his clinical training in Marburg and London, where he also worked as a scientist. After his habilitation in Marburg, he was appointed professor at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig. His research interests include the genetics of autoimmune diseases and neuroendocrino immunology. He has a strong commitment to teaching and has been honored twice with the Teaching Award and is a senior lecturer at the University Teacher Training Faculty of the Leipzig Faculty of Medicine. In addition, he leads the working group pain of the German Society of Rheumatology.
