Christine Sers received her Ph.D. in Immunology from the LMU in Munich, Germany. Afterwards, she turned to the study of RAS-oncogene dependent signaling pathways. Her postdoctoral time, at the University Hospital in Zürich, Switzerland, was dedicated to the identification and characterization of class II tumor suppressor genes, down-regulated through RAS oncogene-dependent signaling cascades. In 1996, she moved to the University Hospital Charitéin Berlin.
