Dr. Christine R. Isaacs, MD, is a Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine and a practicing Obstetrician-Gynecologist with VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia. She also serves as Medical Director of Midwifery Services and provides comprehensive care in women’s health, including obstetrics, gynecology, and management of complex pregnancy-related conditions.
Dr. Isaacs earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Hahnemann University (Medical College of Pennsylvania) and completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at VCU Medical Center. She is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and holds the professional designation of Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
In her academic role, Dr. Isaacs is actively involved in medical education, clinical leadership, and the advancement of evidence-based practice in women’s health. She has also contributed to national educational initiatives in obstetrics and gynecology, including serving on editorial and advisory boards in her specialty. Dr. Isaacs is recognized for her commitment to quality patient care and has been named among Virginia’s leading physicians in obstetrics and gynecology.
