Christine Nevin-Woods, D.O., M.P.H., has served as Public Health Director for Pueblo City-County Health Department for 22 years. Previously, Dr. Nevin-Woods worked in Communicable Disease at the Hawaii State Department of Health and in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. In Pueblo she continues her clinical work in public health areas overseeing Family Planning, Tuberculosis, Communicable Disease, International Travel, Immunizations, and Children with Special Needs clinics.

Dr. Nevin-Woods is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Colorado School of Medicine and oversees the Community Medicine Rotation for Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program. She has a special interest in and passion for teaching, mentoring, and leadership development. She has worked with medical, public health, pre medicine, nursing, and high school students interested in health and public health careers, especially those from rural areas of Southern Colorado. She recently developed, with the Pueblo County Medical Society, a mentoring program for pre medical students from Southern Colorado.
