Christine Jellis, MD, Ph.D., is a Staff Cardiologist who specializes in multimodality cardiac imaging in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic. She sees patients at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus. Dr. Jellis is Director of Physician Alignment at Cleveland Clinic and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
A native of Australia, Dr. Jellis earned her medical degree from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. She undertook her internship, residency, and general cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria, followed by a doctorate in cardiac imaging at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland. From 2013 to 2015, Dr. Jellis was a fellow in advanced cardiac imaging at Cleveland Clinic and joined the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute staff in July 2015.
Dr. Jellis has published more than 60 scientific papers in cardiology and cardiac imaging peer-reviewed journals and is a regular presenter at national and international medical conferences. Her primary research interests are valvular heart disease, cardiac sarcoidosis, pericardial disease, diseases of the thoracic aorta, radiation-associated heart disease, diastolic dysfunction, and right heart dysfunction.
